Falcons Hit The Road Saturday After An Impressive Victory During Their Blue & White Night At The Lemerand Center
On Valentine's Day, the Daytona State Falcons hit the road to Winter Haven with momentum and a mission. Fresh off a dominant 93–56 victory over St. Petersburg College on Wednesday night during Blue & White Night, the Falcons now turn their attention to a matchup with the Polk State Eagles as they aim to stay near the top of the Citrus Conference standings.
Wednesday's win was a statement performance in front of a packed home crowd. All five starters scored in double figures, showcasing the balance and depth that has powered Daytona State all season. Despite being without starting point guard Tyrese Lacey due to illness, the Falcons didn't miss a beat.
Janiel De Los Santos stepped into the starting role and delivered 14 points, six assists, and three steals, controlling the tempo from the opening tip. Alex Harper led the offensive charge with 16 points, knocking down 4-of-7 from beyond the arc as part of a 12 three-pointer barrage. The Falcons' ball movement was crisp, totaling 20 assists, while Noah Mendy delivered several highlight-reel dunks that electrified the crowd.
Defensively, Seydina N'Diaye anchored a relentless effort that forced 28 turnovers. He filled the stat sheet with 12 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and three blocks, setting the tone with his energy and physicality.
Now 20-5 overall and 9-2 in conference play, the nationally ranked No. 15 Falcons face a 4-19 Polk State squad eager to play spoiler. With the regular season winding down, Daytona State is playing its best basketball—and has its sights set on a deep postseason run.
