A sophomore from Orlando, Florida and Edgewater High School, Evan earned his associate's degree in December as a Quanta Honors College graduate with High Honors, finishing with a 4.0 GPA. He was the FCSAA Region 8 DII Men's Individual Champion, finished 3rd at the NJCAA Championships and earned First-team NJCAA All-America honors. He was also named NJCAA Atlantic Region Runner of the Year by the USTCCCA. Evan volunteered at numerous local road races, while working part time to help pay for his schooling. He has accepted a scholarship to Florida Gulf Coast University, where he will continue to run while majoring in Environmental Engineering.
"From day one, Evan showed drive and determination to give Daytona State his all. He thrived in our Quanta Honors program and excelled in his sport with only one year of high school experience. Evan was a great role model for those around him and was a vital part of our success. We wish him well as he moves on to Florida Gulf Coast University." - Judy Wilson, Head Men's Cross Country Coach, Daytona State College
