Falcons Runners Go The Distance

Four Falcon men will take on 13.1 miles Tuesday in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the NJCAA National Half Marathon Championships.  Sophomores Spencer Lawrence and Nikolas Boone and freshmen Samuel Otero and Michael (Luke) Brewer will step to the line for the Falcons.  Lawrence ran in the event last year, and will use that experience to help set the pace for his fellow Falcon teammates.  Boone and Brewer are coming off of competing in the Cross Country Championships.  Freshman Samuel Otero will be joining Lawrence to set the early pace for the group and power through the middle miles of the course.  "The beginning miles will give the runners a chance to get into a pace before hitting miles six to nine which are a bit challenging.  We hope to be pushing the pace once we get to mile 10, and finish strong." commented Coach Judy Wilson.
