Men Jump Fourteen spots in latest USTCCCA Poll

The Daytona State Falcons made a huge jump in the latest USTCCCA poll, moving up from twentieth to sixth. The Falcons are now the top Region 8 team in the poll and first Florida team, topping Pasco-Hernando State College (12th), Eastern Florida State College (18th), and Lake Sumter State College (19th).  The Falcons were the top junior college team in the field in their first two outings.  This past weekend, the team finished third at the Embry Riddle Invitational without two of their top seven runners. "We are just taking it one week at a time and working on each guy's approach to the 8k distance," commented Coach Judy Wilson.  The men are off this weekend and will be returning to action at the Florida State Invitational on September 26th.  This will be their opportunity to preview the Region 8 course that will take place on October 24th.
