Daytona State men's cross country has announced the 2025 fall schedule that ends with a return to Ft Dodge, Iowa for the national championships. The Falcons traveled to Iowa in 2020 and finished in fourth, just one place shy of the podium. This fall, the Falcons will start the regular season off with an 8000 meter race in Jacksonville at the Florida Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by the University of North Florida. Top NCAA Division I teams will be in the field, as well as other junior colleges from the state of Florida. The Falcons will return to the Border Clash at Valdosta State University, where they placed fourth in 2023 against NCAA teams. Next up on September 13th is the Embry Riddle Invitational. The Falcons return after a two year hiatus, having competed in Huntsville, Alabama in 2023 and 2024. "We wanted to run the John Hunt course in 2023 to get a look at it before the national meet, but now it's time to race closer to home," commented Head Coach Judy Wilson, now in her eighth year at Daytona State. The Falcons will then head to the Florida State Invitational. The team will travel out of state to the Jayhawk Invitational in Grand Rapids, Michigan in anticipation to race in cooler weather on October 11th. Two weeks later, the six time Region 8 team champions will compete for the 2025 title on October 24th at Apalachee Regional Park. Finishing out the season on November 8th is the NJCAA Division II National Championships in Ft Dodge, IA where the Falcons finished 4th in 2020. The NJCAA Half Marathon will be three days later on November 11th in Ft Dodge. Come catch the Falcons in action this season!
