Lofton and Marini Named to FCSAA All-Tournament Team

Lofton and Marini Earn FCSAA All-Tournament Honors

Daytona Beach, FL – Daytona State College sophomores Charizma Lofton and Sophia Marini have been named to the FCSAA State Championships All-Tournament Team following standout performances at the 2025 tournament.

The Falcons opened play with a win over Polk State College before falling in four sets to #3 nationally ranked Florida SouthWestern State College in the semifinals. Daytona returned the following day to compete for third place but came up short after an emotional semifinal battle.

Lofton, an outside hitter, led the Falcons with 22 kills, 12 digs, 4 blocks, and 1 ace, while Marini, a right-side hitter, added 10 kills, 5 blocks, and 4 digs.

“Charizma and Sophia have been incredible for us all year,” said Coach Booker. “They’ve set the tone with their competitiveness, consistency and leadership, and this honor is a reflection of the impact they’ve had on our program!”

The pair’s selection highlights Daytona State’s continued success at the state and regional level, building on another strong season for Falcon Volleyball.
