Bio
A 2022 graduate of Oviedo High School, Giovana decided to try track and field her senior year of high school. She fell in love with the sport and excelled in the 400 meters. She caught Coach Wilson's eye and her college running journey has begun. A strong student, Giovana graduated with over a 3.8 gpa.
2022 Season Outlook: A newcomer to the sport of cross country, Giovana will use this fall to learn how to build her endurance to complement her 400 meter speed.
Coach Wilson Comments: "Giovana has very efficient running form. As she gets stronger, we are excited to see how far she will go in the sport."

The Women's Cross Country team came through in a big way this past Friday at the Florida State Invitational.
First year runner Shannon Hickey Jones placed sixth in a field of more than 100 runners at the St Leo Invitational to lead the Falcons to a seventh place finish and second among junior colleges.
The women's cross country team placed seventh overall and first among junior colleges at the Embry Riddle Invitational on Sep 17th, good enough for a 10th place ranking in the NJCAA Division II national poll.
The Falcon women's cross country team gained some valuable experience at the Border Clash hosted by Valdosta State.
The Daytona State women's cross country team took to the beach to start the 2022 season.
