The Daytona State women's cross country team has cracked into the top 5 in the latest USTCCCA poll. The Falcons were #6 in the preseason poll and garnered enough points to move up one spot. The Falcons have finished as the top junior college team in the field in each of their first three outings. Led by freshman Emma Turner, the Falcons have their deepest squad in history with 14 active runners on the roster. "We have such a great group this year. They are working hard in practice and the weightroom, and there is good team chemistry," commented Coach Judy Wilson. The Falcons have this weekend off before heading to the Florida State Invitational set for Friday the 26th. This will be the only 6000 meter race for the women this season.
