Daytona State women's cross country has been named an NJCAA All Academic team for the 2025 season. The Falcons excelled in the classroom, as well as on the cross country course. They qualified for the All Academic team award by earning a team grade point average over a 3.20, as set by the NJCAA. Helping set the bar for the Falcons and earning Individual Academic All American were sophomores Tiffany Cox, Brianna Crawford, and Maya Horel. They are joined by freshmen Emma Turner, Kennedy Flores, and Jennifer Gonzalez. The team succeeded academically while having a banner cross country season, winning the Region 8 title on their way to a third place at the NJCAA National meet, the highest placing in program history. Crawford, Turner, and Flores also earned NJCAA Coaches Association All American by placing in the top 15% of the field at the national meet this past November in Fort Dodge, IA in what turned out to be a white out with six inches of snowfall. "What this group achieved this year was really incredible. They are one of the hardest working groups I've ever coached, and I've coached a lot of teams over the years," commented Coach Judy Wilson.
