The Daytona State Falcons, ranked #5 in the country in the latest coaches poll, head to Tallahassee Friday for the Seminole Invitational, hosted by Florida State University. Over 40 teams will compete in the 6000 meter race and include teams from all divisions. "There are several NCAA D1 schools, as well as six junior college teams from Region 8, so we will get a better idea of where we are with a month to go before the Region 8 Championships." commented Coach Judy Wilson. The Falcons have been lead by freshman Emma Turner and sophomore Brianna Crawford. The next five Falcons have been running in a tight group and will be working on closing up the gap from the top two. "There will be over 450 runners in this race so it will be important for us to stay together and not get lost in the crowd, "commented Wilson. The women's 6k race starts at 8:10am, with the men's 8k preceeding at 7:40am.
